From an empty seat on an overbook flight 8/1/2007 has led to the daily decision to support our deployed military.Trish Shallenberger is the founder of A Soldier's Hands (ASH), a non-profit organization caring for our deployed military, that integrates youth education, volunteer support, fundraising, and leadership in a uniquely touching way.   Since 2007, through the support of donors and volunteers across the country, the organization has delivered more than 30,000 individual care packages to troops stationed around the world.   The mission of ASH, and Trish’s passion, is to involve the community in bringing smiles to our deployed soldiers, sailors and marines who may have never received mail from home.
